Tungsten is the perfect material to add weight to a pinewood derby car. With a density comparable to gold, it's 1.7times more dense than lead and 2.7times as dense as Zinc. Because you can't reshape the tungsten pieces, it's sold in many difference sizes and shapes. This type of tungsten is shaped into cylinders and can be sintered into 25/64" hole in your car.It's available in full, half, and quarter cylinders to allow you to get your weight exactly where you need it. It can be installed in the bottom of the car as shown or you can install it the same way as lead wire.
